Workshops for Teachers
Aim:
Teaching elementary French to primary school teachers who have to teach it to their pupils.
Concentrating on accent, intonation and pronunciation (recognising different sounds and reproducing them correctly) so that young learners hear a good accent and the teacher know when to correct them.
Helping teachers to feel confident by teaching/consolidating the vocabulary and structures which are part of their curriculum.
Workshops:
Option 1:
One weekday with 6 hours of tutoring at the French teacher’s (central Bristol), between 9am and 3.30pm. We’d hope that schools would provide cover to release their teachers.
Cost: £10 per hour per student (between 4 and 8 students)
Option 2:
At a school during an in service day (6hrs) with teachers from several schools meeting for the workshop and the French tutor coming to the hosting school. Cost: £12 per hour per student (between 4 and 10 students)
